- I have worked in the radical book trade since 1975 as manager at Progressive Books in Liverpool and various jobs at Central Books in London where I was a director for many years, and then as owner of Left on the Shelf, selling second-hand radical books. I sold the business in 2025 to concentrate on researching the history of radical book trade from 1780. I am one of the founders of the Radical Bookselling History Group. We produce our newsletter twice each year, and many of my articles can be found there. I have written a Bibliography of the CPGB and Central Books: A Brief History 1939-1999.
